November 2009 To whom it may concern: Ann Marie and I have been friends for over 35 years. When I was considering a career move I talked to Ann Marie. Ann Marie coached me through the interviewing process and negotiate my compensation. I achieved everything I wanted. A tremendous new job, the salary, signing bonus and year end bonus I wanted. You can’t ask for anything more. From a coaching perspective, she helped me understand the difference in perspective and goals for the interviewer versus interviewee. She helped me understand the subtle differences between interpretation and intention. Ann Marie was responsive, gave me confidence, helped me frame my answers; anticipate objections and how to turn them into a positive. She helped me frame my experience into stories, strengths and attributes in such a way that I felt confident without being arrogant. Most importantly, she helped me understand the goal of the interview. After achieving my goal, when it came down to an offer, I went back to Ann Marie for more coaching and she was spot on. I never would have achieved my compensation goal without her advice. Not only did she pump me up, but she gave me the confidence and helped me understand that I deserved what I was asking for along with the understanding of gender related issues surrounding compensation. Most importantly as a mid-life career women with a family, I strongly recommend Ann Marie as an incredible career coach.
